Gopeshwar (Uttarakhand) Oct 15 (PTI) Some children of a school in Chamoli district fell ill and had to be hospitalised after being punished by a teacher for allegedly disobeying him, officials sources said here today. The children of class eight fell ill after they were asked by the teacher to stand in stress position. They had to be admitted to a hospital at Tharali after they returned home. However, they were discharged after a brief treatment. The incident occurred on Saturday, the sources said . An inquiry has been ordered into the incident by the Chief Education Officer after the parents of the children lodged a complaint with the authorities. PTI Corr ALM SHS
