Shimla, Dec 31 (PTI) Senior Congress leader and former MLA, Kuldeep Singh Pathania has been appointed as the chairman of the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (HPPCB) with immediate effect. Disclosing this her today, an official spokesperson said that an notification to this effect was issued here. Pathania, a five times MLA from Bhatiyyat in Chamba district, was defeated in Assembly elections this time. He was elected to state Assembly in 1985, 1993, 1998, 2003 and 2007 and also remained Chairman of 3rd Finance Commission during 2003-2007. PTI PCL DBR
